Anniversary And/Or Other Special Events

In May 2025 we participated in the Stouffville Outdoor Market (with an information table) on one Saturday and at the St. James Presbyterian Church bazaar (we sold plants and other garden-related items) on another Saturday. Throughout the year a small group of our members maintained the large Canada 150 Garden in Stouffville Memorial Park and the small front gardens at St. James Presbyterian Church. Some members took shifts at the OHA table at the CNE and at the District 5 table at Markham Fair. A number of members entered the flower show at Markham Fair as individuals, and won many prizes. We had seven regular meetings with guest speakers and ended the year with a potluck dinner at our November AGM.

Fundraisers

At the end of 2025 we submitted an application (open to local non-profit organizations) to receive funds from the Whitchurch-Stouffville Legacy Fund to be used for various club activities/purposes in 2026. Our application was successful and at the end of our 2026 year we submit a report to them detailing how the funds were spent, and returning any unused portion of the money.
