Fundraisers

Annual Fundraiser plant sale held the Saturday prior to mothers day weekend this is our major fundraiser for the year and helps to offset costs of plantings throughout the community

Highlights

We went on a garden tour of a flower farm which was highly attended and we invited 2 other local horticultural societies to extend the invite to their members as well. The flower farm had set up a bouquet bar with their products and folks could buy stems and create their own arrangements.

We also attend our annual local fair which outside of our annual plant sale is where we secure our memberships for locals who want to support our organization,

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
