The Sudbury Horticultural Society enjoyed a year of growth, learning, and community engagement in 2025, building on a successful 2024 AGM and Christmas Show. Throughout the year, the Society fulfilled its mandate through diverse educational programs, including speaker presentations on Sudbury rewilding, aquascaping, houseplant care, regreening efforts, invasive species, and local food security. Key events included the well-attended Annual Gardener’s Day and Plant Sale in May, the inspiring Open Garden Weekend in July, and the August Flower and Vegetable Show, which showcased members’ gardening achievements. These activities strengthened community connections and highlighted members’ creativity and dedication. Sincere thanks are extended to all volunteers, speakers, hosts, and members whose enthusiasm and commitment continue to ensure the Society’s success and positive impact.

Highlights

In 2025, the Sudbury Horticultural Society continued to grow through education, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. Members enjoyed a diverse speaker series on topics including rewilding, aquascaping, houseplants, invasive species, regreening, and food security. Highlights included the Annual Gardener’s Day and Plant Sale, Open Garden Weekend, and the Flower and Vegetable Show. These successful events reflected the dedication of members and volunteers whose ongoing support strengthens the Society and its impact.
