Fundraisers

Our PGC Annual Plant Sale was a sell-out. We are fortunate to have a prime location, at a member's yard across from Tim Hortons.
Organizing the plants in categories makes it easier for shoppers to locate what they are looking for at a reasonable price. We are fortunate to have repeat customers.

The addition of Wool Pellets by Cowan Acres in Innisfil, joining us and offered 100% raw, nutrient-rich sheep wool pellets for gardening was welcomed by plant-lovers. These pellets act as a slow-release fertilizer.

Highlights

PGC continues to teach the art of different types of gardening to all members and visitors. Our speakers continued to give the latest information.
The Flower Show at our meetings continues to grow. During intermission, the members visit the tables to check out the latest designs and entries.
The community appreciates and benefits from our continuous care to the Stroud Parkette and Heritage Knocks School gardens both in the Town of Innisfil. The vibrant displays of colour, the smell of the fragrance are pleasing to one and all.

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
