Fundraisers

New fundraiser at Mother's Day. Members designed floral arrangements in teacups and small vases for sale to the public. All 107 arrangements made were sold.

Annual Floral Pumpkins sale at Thanksgiving weekend also was a sell-out of all 111 pumpkins filled with floral arrangements. Net profit was $3239.00, our highest ever.

Highlights

Noteworthy accomplishments include that new membership continues to grow; a previously untried fundraiser replaced our plant sale and was very successful; and in anticipation of next year's 20th anniversary of Grandmother's Garden, a permanent sign designed by a renowned local artist was installed.

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
