| Fundraisers | Our main fundraiser is our Plant Sale. This year was more of the usual success compared to last year...our profit at least paid for the year's rent and a number of speakers. Members seemed a little more engaged at the Plant Sale this year - our native plants were greatly appreciated by the community. The Nov Awards Banquet's 'Your Choice Raffle' was a big success again...a record 48 items to bid on. The event was a successful fundraiser and enjoyed by all. | ||||||||
| Highlights | There were four themed mini flower shows, one major flower show as well as one mini Christmas Design show this year. The Beautification Committee completed five projects this year...the most outstanding were at the Juravinski Wellwood Centre, Ancaster Senior Centre and Legion 163 Cenotaph garden. Gardens were also revived at N2N and the Terry Berry Library. Fourteen Outreach members looked after the grounds at the March of Dime's Jason's House. Potted plants were delivered to our area’s 3 hospices. The Nov Awards Raffle was a big success. | ||||||||

| Society/Club Volunteer Hours | The volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024! Entry Instructions: | ||||||||
