Anniversary And/Or Other Special Events

This was our 135th anniversary as well as our town's 150th celebration. The flower bed by our Town Hall was beautiful thanks to our volunteer's planting, water and maintaining the tulip garden.

Fundraisers

Our Annual Plant Auction in May is our main fundraiser with donated plants from our member's flower beds and we also have a silent auction with over 30 items donated.

Highlights

This year we had a successful Annual Plant Auction in May which is our main fundraiser for the society. We had a great turn out for our local garden tour in July and our Annual Flower Show in August was a huge hit. Our society continues to be successful thanks to our strong membership and the volunteers that make many hands light work!

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
