Highlights

2025 was a year of both successes and challenges for the Tara Horticultural Society. Coming off our centennial year and the significant achievement of our 100 Trees for 100 Years campaign, there was still a lot of follow-up work to complete.
Last spring we finished planting the 14 trees that required a new location. We are very pleased to share that several trees were planted at Arran Tara Elementary School, creating a lasting benefit for the generations of children in our community who will play in their shade.

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
