Fundraisers

Our Annual Plant & Bake Sale on May 17th was again a very successful event. The sale was once again held at the Fonthill United Church, which provided us with space both inside and out. Signage was posted throughout the community as well as local media advertising the event. We had an excellent response from the public who purchased a variety of plants and baked goods donated by our members.

Highlights

On April 12th, we had a booth at the local Home & Garden Show. May 17th saw our annual Plant & Bake Sale at the Fonthill United Church. Our annual Plant & Vegetable Show was held on August 25. Three editions of our newsletter, The Garden View, were published. We continued maintenance of the gardens at the Fonthill United Church, town Bandshell and 2 public libraries

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
