Highlights

Continued beautification of the downtown and several outlying areas through gardens, hanging baskets, and planters.
A significant memorial donation from the founding president of DDHS allowed us to create a metal sign of the logo she created in 1997. It is mounted outside the Municipal Building.
Local garden tours were a highlight this year, and guest speakers on a variety of subjects. We continue to sponsor adult and youth classes in the local agricultural fair which are well-attended.

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
