Fundraisers

The primary fundraiser for 2025 was the annual plant sale held in McMillan Park in early June. Plants donated by members are received, sorted and priced the evening prior to the sale. The sale was well attended by members and folks from the community at large. This year it coincided with the Chamber of Commerce Summerfest so there were a lot more people who came to the sale.

Highlights

A lovely red maple tree was planted in Carberry Park in Erin in memory of Mildred McAlpine a long-time member and ardent supporter of the Erin Garden Club. Members enjoyed a field trip to Fergus hosted by the Fergus Horticultural Society. They toured the Templin Gardens, the peony gardens in Terry Fox Park, the Healing Gardens at the Fergus hospital as well as several private gardens.Members also participated in three interesting workshops in which they learned new skills and flower arranging techniques. A summer BBQ was also enjoyed.
