Fundraisers

Plant & Bake Sale - held in May and is an excellent fundraiser
Ciderfest - annual community event held last Sunday in September where we promote our Society

Highlights

We had a very successful year with recruiting 17 new members for a total of 96 members in our Society. We had fantastic speakers that entertained us on the following topics: Creating a Cutting Garden, All About Weeds, Photography Tips, Birds and Butterflies in our Garden and Birds of Ontario. Our Town celebrated Homecoming this past summer and town flower beds were very welcoming as we planted them in Homecoming Colours of Yellow, White & Black. Our Plant & Bake Sale and Ciderfest were awesome fundraisers once again. Thanks to all !!

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
