| Fundraisers | Our plant sale was a huge success both monetarily and with member involvement, more than a third contributed plants and their time. Members also enthusiastically participated in two fundraisers at our December meeting: the Super mini-fundraiser received 35 donations and contributions of homemade treats and preserves filled the bake sale tables and quickly sold out. | ||||||||
| Highlights | Erythronium americanum became our new floral emblem. A CVHS website was created and our FaceBook Page was revived. We held 2 design workshops and 3 flower shows (2 of which were standard), maintained 3 gardens at Credit Valley Hospital, sponsored awards at the Peel Region Science Fair, held 2 LitterNot walks and promoted CVHS at the Seed Lending Library relaunch and Mississauga Garden Day. We participated in 2 garden cleanups at The Riverwood Conservancy and made a donation. Our plant sale, bake sale and mini fundraisers finance all activities. | ||||||||
