Highlights

Our "Summer Reads" Garden Book Club is in its third year. We read garden related book and gather in mid August for a social meeting. This year's book was "The Lost Garden" by Helen Humphreys. Approx 18 members attended.
Last January we hosted a half day workshop on "Winter Sowing", 14 people attended. We provided containers, soil and a variety of native seeds. We followed up with a gathering in early July to exchange seedlings.

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
