| Anniversary And/Or Other Special Events | We celebrated our 100th anniversary with the dedication of a steel plaque on the Woodbridge Ave. bridge, attended by Mayor Stephen Del Duca and some councilors. The WHS executive and some membership were there. Speeches were made by the Mayor and Councilor Volpentesta who had sponsored the installation of the plaque. This was followed by one from WHS vice president Marja Granata and then refreshments. When the motion to allow the installation of the plaque was made in Vaughan City Council room, vice president Marja Granata made an additional pledge to continue our volunteerism of the Wallace House garden, and the parks. They were thanked for their support and we assured them of expanded devotion to the natural beautification of Vaughan. | ||||||||

| Highlights | Our most remarkable event was the celebration and dedication of our 100th year plaque. It was situated on the centrally located Woodbridge Ave bridge for all to see whether they passed by foot or car. The ceremonial recognition by the Mayor and Council of Vaughan was heart warming and memorable. We made the government of Vaughan's newsletter that carried a fully detailed story and photo of the occasion. | ||||||||

| Society/Club Volunteer Hours | The volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024! Entry Instructions: | ||||||||
