Fundraisers

Our members and community came together to support our initiatives through various fundraising events. In February, Jennifer Harvey showcased her outstanding floral designs. These bouquets raised $880 the Society.

May marked the return of our annual plant sale, introducing a refreshing change of scenery by holding it at a new location — Swift Waters Elementary School. Despite the initial weather challenges and the added cost of a venue rental, the sale raised $2,373.50 for the Society.

Our November AGM featured a silent auction and contributed $1,582.00 to our fundraising efforts..

In the summer, w participated in the OHA bulb fundraiser, featuring the BIODIVERSITY Bulb Mixture Package.

Highlights

We welcomed numerous speakers, connected with communities for Seedy Saturday and a Wellness Fair, endorsed the regional Science Fair, held floral design competitions, art and photo competitions and awarded Garden of the Month winners. We organized two social outings and visited the headquarters of the Thousand Islands Watershed Land Trust.

We are collaborating with City of Brockville to finalize the installation of a Commemorative Bench.

We have qualified for the OMAFA Centennial Grant.

The membership voted to rebrand as Garden Brockville.
