Fundraisers

Our Plant Sale fundraiser raised over $10,000 this year.

Highlights

We had our most successful Plant Sale this year where we sold over 2000 plants. We had several interesting guest speakers, member garden walks, representation at Seedy Saturday, a members’ appreciation night with a strawberry social, and a bus trip. We had several community projects including a community garden, tree planting and funding a new garden at a local school. We provided two bursaries to local students interested in pursuing horticulture.

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
