Highlights

After meeting for many years in the local Royal Canadian Legion, we were warmly invited to meet at a local seniors' community centre. We've had a great year, and many members have commented on how lovely our new "home" is. This year we also held a plant sale, which we haven't been able to do for a few years. It was very successful. This spring, several members participated in the "Soil Your Undies" program. At our September meeting, we had a lively discussion about the results; there were some surprises.

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
