| Fundraisers | Our regular Fundraiser is the Annual Perennial Plant Sale in Spring. It was a very good fundraiser this year, with excellent participation by our community and contributed to by our members through their hard work digging plants from member's gardens and donating from their own. The community anticipates this sale. It is enhanced by working together with other local organizations ( garden or environment related) who are invited to participate. This builds community involvement and awareness of organizations within our town. This is an excellent fundraiser. | ||||||||
| Highlights | The Wasaga Beach Horticultural Society had a very active year. Members participated in maintaining community gardens, tagging butterflies, instructing workshops on gardening within the community, held our Annual Perennial Plant Sale in May which is a huge undertaking but very successful as a fundraiser, and organized/ sponsored the Silent Auction at the Fall D16 Seminar/Meeting in 2025. Our regular meetings featured speakers gleaned from the Master Gardeners of Ontario, and from expert speakers on a variety of gardening topics. | ||||||||

| Society/Club Volunteer Hours | The volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024! Entry Instructions: | ||||||||
