The Orillia Horticultural Society was first established in 1888 and we have been working to beautify the community and educate fellow gardeners ever since. We accept all types of gardeners - no experience required. We have informative guest speakers and various workshops along with Flower and Photography shows. Look for our volunteers to distribute the Garden Pride door hangers acknowledging beautiful gardens throughout town. We maintain the Library Gardens and the Hospice Gardens, and are working with our partners Mariposa Pollinators to establish new Pollinator Gardens with Native Plants. Come and join us for learning and fun!!!

The Orillia Horticultural Society holds its meetings on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm in March, April, May, June, September, October and November. July and August are outdoor meetings in various locations. Our new monthly meeting location is St Andrews Church 99 Peter St N, Orillia. Fully accessible, scent free location. No meetings in December, January or February, although we offer webinars via zoom and we meet to sort seeds for Seedy Saturday March 28, 2026 at the Orillia Public Library.
