Isa emigrated from Australia to Canada in 1996. She worked for 10 years in postgraduate studies at Southern Cross University. Many postgraduate research projects were based in environmental science, and that is how she learned about aquatic ecosystems and pond ecology.
The Bloomin Bog Water Gardens was founded in 1981, and Isa has been a partner since January, 1996. She and her husband, Nick, own and operate the business, employing nine full-time seasonal staff every year. The business occupies almost one acre of land that’s devoted to greenhouses, goldfish and koi, and the propagation of aquatic plants. The showroom boasts a large selection of pond and water feature hardware for all DIY enthusiasts.
