Doors open 7:00 P.M. - Meeting starts 7:30 P.M. followed by guest speaker.

(Creditview Rd. north of King St., west side of road) Cheltenham Community Room (entrance at side door where parking lot is at Cheltenham Firehall) Jeremy Parker has spent over 40 years in the pharmaceutical industry, the last 9 years of which have been spent on educating thousands of health care practitioners on the many uses of medical cannabis and how it can help patients handle many different therapeutic issues. He brings a wealth of knowledge to patients, patient advocacy groups and professionals on dealing with things like chronic pain, sleep and mood issues.
Recycled Items in the Garden March 9, 2023 7:30 P.M. 14190 Creditview Rd. (Creditview Rd. north of King St., west side of road) Cheltenham Community Room (entrance at side door where parking lot is at Cheltenham Firehall) Well known garden club speaker Wolfe Bonham will present his new topic of recycled items in the garden. Through his experience at the professional landscaping company, Peace, Love and Landscaping and his many worldwide travels on his motorbike, Wolfe will delight us with new ideas and creations.
The Development of Friendship Gardens, Headwaters Healthcare, Orangeville April 13, 2023 7:30 P.M. 14190 Creditview Rd. (Creditview Rd. north of King St., west side of road) Cheltenham Community Room (entrance at side door where parking lot is at Cheltenham Firehall) With a vision that healthcare should include spiritual well-being Lynn Sinclair Smith has single handedly supervised the construction and maintenance of the Friendship Gardens. She is constantly fundraising, recruiting volunteers, involving CVC (when snow removal brine applications started killing our trees and phragmites filled the ditches), campaigned for handicap accessibility and constantly re-imagined how things could be done. Over the years she has watered a forest of trees and fields of seedlings while coiling hoses and walking thousands of miles.
Turtle Island and the Royal Botanical Gardens, Hamilton May 11, 2023 7:30 P.M. 14190 Creditview Rd. (Creditview Rd. north of King St., west side of road) Cheltenham Community Room (entrance at side door where parking lot is at Cheltenham Firehall) Mark Zelinski trained as an artist and designer, and graduated as the top student of OCAD in 1979. His diverse career as a professional photographer has taken him across 80 countries, with clients ranging from The National Film Board of Canada to Panasonic. He is also a publisher, writer, painter, filmmaker, Fellow of Royal Canadian Geographic Society, member of The Explorer’s Club, Board Member of UNESCO Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Network and winner of the Canadian Governor General’s Medal. Best known for his “Books That Heal” initiative - donating 8,000 copies of his photography books to 100 worldwide charities. His internationally acclaimed photography books include forewords by HRH Prince Philip, The Honourable Lincoln Alexander, and The Right Honorable Justin Trudeau. Mark is offering books tonight at a discount, after his presentation.
Anything but Grass June 8, 2023 7:30 P.M. 14190 Creditview Rd. (Creditview Rd. north of King St., west side of road) Cheltenham Community Room (entrance at side door where parking lot is at Cheltenham Firehall) Retired teacher Don Scallen will discuss “Anything but grass”. He enjoys sharing his love of nature through his writing and presentations. A well known local naturalist, regular contributor to In the Hills magazine, and author of Nature — Where We Live.
