Flamborough Horticultural Society
District 6
The Flamborough Horticultural Society was founded in May 1939 and we celebrated our 80th birthday in May 2019.
The mission of the Flamborough Horticultural Society is to encourage interest and involvement in horticulture through civic improvement, preservation, exhibitions, the distribution of plant materials and regular instruction pertaining to the theory and practice of horticulture.
After our birth, thirty-two years later in 1971, we chose the Geranium (Pelargonium) as our emblem and we proudly display our crest at the front of the room at each meeting.
ANNUAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: Civic Improvement - New plantings and maintenance of local gardens - Annual Plant Sale & Fundraisers – The Waterdown Annual Garden Walk - Early July-Judging of the Trillium Awards - Garden Bus Tour and Local Garden Tours - Community Involvement - Monthly Newsletter - Ontario Horticultural Association events - Local District 6 O.H.A Convention, Breakfast Meetings and Dinners

The Flamborough Horticultural Society holds meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of each month starting at 7:00 pm.
For now, Covid-19 restrictions prevent us from meeting in person, so we hold meetings via Zoom. Guests can hear one or more speaker presentations by sending a $5.00 e-transfer for each session to trudybliedung@yahoo.ca. After three paid sessions, guests will automatically become a member and be entitled to other member benefits.
Or, join now for only $15.00!
For each meeting, we have a fun Flower Show with submissions by members and member judging. In July, August and December, there are no meetings so that we can spend time with our families and enjoy our garden spaces. All ages over 15 are welcome.
Contact flamhort@hotmail.com for additional speaker information.
