And so the wonderful month of May wraps up.
It was a busy time for us all and especially our Society.
We had our Plant Sale — Saturday 13 May — preceded by a plant auction — we think very successful — very well attended — a lively auction with many beautiful healthy plants — followed by a plant sale with a great variety of interesting plants.
Then came the regular monthly meeting — including the Members' Photo Contest and our guest speaker Laura Tattersall with a fascinating presentation on Summer Bulbs and a judged Flower Show consisting of stunning displays and our fun Opportunity Table — and snacks, yummy snacks 🙂
Remember, donations of plant-related items to the Opportunity Table are most welcome.
Finally, the Smiths Falls Public Library Plant Swap — Saturday 27 May — presented in partnership with our Society — a slow start wondering if we would have enough plants to share — and then the donations came pouring in with many very unusual and interesting plants — including much mingling and chatting about gardens and exchanges of info re the various plants available on the tables. Many happy gardeners departed with treasures anticipating new gardening adventures.
And so we move on to June — really? already? — and looking forward to our June events.
