Ottawa Horticultural Society
District 2
The mission of the Ottawa Horticultural Society is to cultivate an interest in plants and gardening in order to create a beautiful community. We have a long history; the OHS started in 1892 and is a non-profit society open to all gardeners who enjoy sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge of gardening. We have over 300 members, and our activities include regular meetings with speakers, community projects and competitions. There are two plant and flower shows each year and also a photo competition, all open to members only. Members also benefit from garden tours in the summer as a chance to see what other members have done and to share knowledge and ideas.
