About Us

Are you a new gardener who found joy digging in the dirt? Would you like to learn more about gardening and looking after the environment? Then you should join Wilmot Horticulture. During the first year of Covid, we planted many gardens around the Township, our Junior Gardeners had fun planting their own gardens and we help plant many trees in Scott Park in the fall. This year, we stated off with a bang with a very successful webinar, Let’s Talk Plants - Nifty Native Plants with Sean James. See below for how to join!

All WHS monthly meetings have been cancelled until further notice. Stay healthy friends, until we meet again.

We are a vibrant, friendly group who love to explore anything and everything about gardening, nature and environmental stewardship. Whether you have a green or black thumb, are a novice, experienced or master gardener, we all have much to learn and share. Join WHS and take some time to grow with us.

As a very active group we offer:
> Monthly meetings with informative speakers
> Gardeners' Show and Share plus a Youth Competition
> Civic Beautification (planting and looking after community gardens around the township)
> Junior Gardeners' Program
> Annual Garden Explosion with a full day of speakers, exhibitors, lunch, laughter and time to relax with old and new friends
> 10% Discount at Colour Paradise, Meadow Acres and Heritage Pet and Garden (garden items only) with a membership

The fee to join our society is:

$6 per person- reduced fee this year! If you were a member in 2020, YOU DO NOT PAY IN 2021! (2020 fee reduced to $6 and rest applied to 2021) New members only, send an E-Transfer to wilmothortsociety@gmail.com with complete contact info (member name, address, phone, email) in the note field or mail a cheque to WHS c/o 27 Mill St. Box 235 New Dundee ON. N0B 2E0 and include full contact information.
