Garden Wilmot (Wilmot Horticultural Society)
District 19
Are you a new gardener who likes digging in the dirt? Would you like to learn more about caring for and helping the environment? Maybe you want to share your joy of gardening with others in the community who feel the same way. We invite you to join us in Garden Wilmot. Yes, we've adopted a new name, but we are still the Wilmot Horticultural Society.
Our Civic Gardens volunteers design, plant and maintain garden beds on public property throughout Wilmot and are involved in community projects. Let’s Tree Wilmot is a very successful project since it launched in March 2020 (ushering in Covid). In partnership with Wilmot Township, volunteers plant hundreds of trees in Wilmot’s parks and on private land, with more planned each year. The Program Committee arranges for speakers for Our Garden Talks, and if you love social media, check out our Facebook page. Junior Gardeners have had over 30 participants every year, planting their own gardens with seeds provided and entering into the New Hamburg Fall Fair.
Garden Wilmot / Wilmot Hort has a Facebook page with garden tips, videos, amazing photos, announcements and more! Take a look... by clicking https://www.facebook.com/groups/wilmothorticulturalsociety
