Wilmot Horticultural Society
District 19
Are you a new gardener who likes digging in the dirt? Would you like to learn more about gardening and looking after the environment? Maybe you want to share your joy of gardening with others in the community who feel the same way. Then you should join Wilmot Horticulture.
Our Civic Gardens volunteers design, plant and maintain garden beds on public property throughout Wilmot and are involved in community projects. Let’s Tree Wilmot has become a very successful project since it launched in March 2020 (ushering in Covid). In partnership with Wilmot Township, volunteers plant hundreds of trees in Wilmot’s parks and on private land, with more planned for 2023. There are Project and Education Committees that are all actively involved. Our Junior Gardeners have had over 30 participants every year, planting their own gardens with seeds provided and entering into the New Hamburg Fall Fair.
