The Barrie Garden Club was established in 1874 as the Barrie Horticultural Society, and we have been growing ever since. Each year, the Club holds exciting monthly meetings that include flower shows, informative speakers and refreshments for social time. The Club offers digital member newsletters to keep you informed of upcoming events that include group excursions, activity nights, local volunteer opportunities and more! We link with local gardening centres to provide discount opportunities to club members. This year, 2024, the Club celebrated 150 years since it was established.

Annual subscription for 2025 is $20 for an individual and $35 for a family unit at the same residence.

The Club usually meets the first Tuesday of the month from February to June and from September to December. Meetings start at 7:00 p.m. However, on the months that we run the flower show, please have your submissions in and ready for 6:45 p.m. Information on all events can be found on our website.

Adults 18+ are welcome to join the Club to learn about gardening, network with other like-minded gardeners and have the opportunity to help the Club’s involvement in local gardening initiatives. No experience necessary! So join the Club and come grow with us!
