Belle River and District Horticultural Society
District 11
As this membership year is coming to an end we are happy to say that we had a very successful year. The Kid’s Workshop was an event that the school children and the adults alike enjoyed. This is one event we are very happy to sponsor and the children learn how plants are given a good start with some care. Bonus: Moms get a nice Mother’s Day Gift.
The Plant Market was well attended and everyone came away with nice new plants and our society raised funding for our continued work in the community. Our last garden had the irrigation system installed which will make it much more convenient to make sure the plants are watered and look their best. We are most thankful for the contribution from suppliers and volunteers for this project.
All these activities would not happen if we could not count on many volunteers. Without you our society would not function. We want to thank everyone for their continued support.
As the membership voted the starting time for the monthly meetings will move forward to 7:00 p.m. starting with our September 17th 2024 meeting. When that time of year comes around we will remind you and we hope to see all of you plus maybe a friend or neighbour at the St. Simon and St. Jude Hall.
In the meantime we wish you a good summer with many great flowers and good memories.
