Our next meeting is Wednesday, April 19 at 7:30pm at St. John’s church hall, Winona.
Speakers for the evening will be Christine and Stephanie Forestell, with a presentation on bee-keeping, and what they are doing to help “save the bees” at their small, family-run apiary in Jordan Station. A short bio:
Forest Fields is a small family operated Apiary with 3 fields in the Niagara region (Jordan, Vineland and West Lincoln). Our journey began during the winter of 2016 when my daughter gifted us a beekeeping class for Christmas. We took the “Tech transfer program” offered through Guelph University. We instantly fell in love and decided to help save the bees. Every year is a learning experience, by no means are we experts, but we are certainly lifelong learners, often partnering and sharing knowledge as well as challenges with other local beekeepers.
