Winona Horticultural Society February meeting

Just a reminder that our meeting is coming up on Wednesday, February 21, at 7:30pm in the hall of St. John’s Anglican Church, Winona. Our speaker for the evening will be David Wood, of the Wild Birds Unlimited store in Burlington. A life long nature lover and birder, David specializes in wild bird feeding and protection. His talk will include how to best care for our wild birds in the winter, and what’s new in seed and supplements to keep them happy. Guests are welcome, and there will be refreshments and door prizes.
Also a reminder that there’s still time to send me bird-related submissions for the Newsletter. Photos are great, but I’d love to include stories, tips or anecdotes on your own bird sightings or activities as well. Please e-mail them to me at potsherds@gmail.com, no later than Feb. 16. Thanks!
