Other Events:
Garden Clubs of Ontario (GCO)
Kathleen Lang is looking to establish a new chapter for our region, which will include all of eastern Ontario. The inaugural meeting will be held on April 7th, at the Civitan Hall, from1pm to 4:30pm. Anyone interested in joining this new group is invited to attend. GCO aims to stimulate a knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs; to aid in the protection of native plants, trees, birds and soil; and to encourage civic planting. They also promote a wider participation in flower shows, floral design and are instrumental in establishing a uniformly high standard of judging.
Kathleen is also looking for volunteers to help with set up, registration, and refreshments. Let her know if you’d like to lend a hand at kathleenlang@storm.ca .
