Photography can enhance the gardening experience through the capturing of images to document the creation, maintenance, and evolution of a garden, including the beauty of individual specimens. These images can serve as a visual record of gardening efforts, as well as a way of sharing a horticultural passion with friends and family. Tonight’s presentation will provide tips and techniques on garden photography and photography in general and will be appropriate for enthusiasts using simple point-and-shoot cameras, DSLRs, and smart phones. Our speaker will provide time for questions and discussion.
Harold Hunter is a retired accounting professional with a lifelong interest in photography, including nature, landscapes, travel, and street. He teaches photography at The Life Institute, part of The Chang School of Continuing Education at the Toronto Metropolitan University, and derives joy from sharing his skills and encouraging others to do more with their cameras.
Tonight’s speaker is planning to attend our meeting in person. Should inclement weather prevent him from traveling to Richmond Hill, a live video broadcast of his remote participation will be projected onto a large screen in the auditorium.
All general meetings begin with a welcome and general announcements, which precede the introduction of the guest speaker.
