MORNING SPEAKER:
Asha Hingorani
Canadian Peat: Ideal for growing for generations to come.
Asha Hingorani is the President of the Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss Association and she also sits on the board of the International Peatland Society.
Through the Association, she represents Canadian peat producers responsible for approximately 90% of the yearly extracted peat and most of it used to supply the North American market. Peat has long been recognized as the quintessential of growing media component
by generations and consumers worldwide. Asha will discuss the science about the peat extraction industry and its sustainable future.
AFTERNOON SPEAKER:
Jeannie Ford
Leap into Mini Ponds, Fountains & Ecosystems
Jeannie Ford has been an active horticulturalist her whole life following in her father’s footsteps, who was a master gardener in Germany. Her work experience of 33 years covers managing garden centres, being an interior plant specialist and designing and maintaining gardens for clients. For the past 2 ½ years, she has been managing the greenhouse, aquatic and garden centre and retail aspect of Aquatopia Water Garden Conservatory located in Carp, Ontario. Jeannie will share this life-long passion with you and introduce mini ponds, fountains and eco-systems that will enhance your gardens
