CHS September Meeting: “Blooms for Butterflies”

‘The secret is not to run after the butterflies…if you take care of the garden they will come to you’.
You are invited to attend the CHS September Meeting as Anna Mizyn showcases what perennials to plant which will bring the butterflies to your very own gardens in her presentation “Blooms for Butterflies”.
Anna was born in Poland, where she studied horticultural, moving to Canada in the 1990’s she has created a stunning perennial garden called ‘Anna’s Perennials’. Over 4 acres of her 90 acre property is devoted to the growing of a wide selection of perennials -offered to view and purchase.
With the increased pressure on the natural habitat our pollinators and butterflies need all the help they can get – Anna will focus on plants that do best in our area and what will assist in attacting the butterflies to your gardens.
Anna plans to bring along several potted perennials for sale as well. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn more about the relationship between plants and butterflies.

CHS is proud to annouce the winners from the summer Youth challenge. Judges will have selected the top garden submissions and winners will be announced. Prize money is over $400 this season!

Flower and Vegetable Show All members are welcome to showcase their garden treasures. Check the CHS Yearbook for classes. Entries to be in place by 7pm. Judging to follow.
