Learn about the insects in and about our gardens! The good, the bad and the beautiful! As Lydia Wong joins us for this informative presentation. Lydia is a PhD candidate working with Dr. Jessica Forrest at the University of Ottawa. Her research explores the impacts of warming and drying climates on wild bees and wasps. She spends her summers meeting these critters both in the Colorado Rockies but also in concrete jungles of big cities like Toronto and Ottawa.
Flower Show entries are welcomed from 6:30 to 7pm. Entry tags available at the door. We invite new and long standing members to bring in as many entries as they wish – it’s a great way to showcase what’s growing in your gardens!
Doors open 6:30pm
