Seedy Saturday

March 25, 2023 @ 10:30 am - 2:00 pm

Free

Together the Fergus & District Horticultural Society and the Elora & Salem Horticultural Society will be hosting the 4th Centre Wellington Seedy Saturday.  We have lined up a diverse group of vendors of seeds and garden supplies, with community groups and advisory services in attendance.  Some include:

Vendors: Arthur Greenhouses, Chawin’s Workshop, Ever Smiles Gardens, Gerrie’s Garden Centre Farm Market, Hawthorn Farm Organic Seeds, Little Tree Garden Market, Nancy’s Creations & Seeds, Root Rescue, and Seeds of Imbolc.
Community Groups: Centre Wellington Community Garden Network, Centre Wellington Food Forest, and Neighbourwoods.
Advisory Services: Guelph‐Wellington Master Gardeners, Ontario Invasive Plant Council, Pollination Guelph, Seeds of Diversity, and the Canadian Peony Society Seed Exchange.

Donations of seeds are welcomed. These may be freely donated or exchanged for other varieties available on the free exchange tables. Envelopes should be labelled to show the seed variety and the year the seeds were harvested. Seeds may also be taken from the exchange table, subject to a donation, and will also be available for purchase from the commercial vendors.

Please plan to join us, browse the vendor tables, exchange seeds, meet your neighbours, share stories and information on a huge number of topics, such as genetic diversity, pollination, working with nature, community garden opportunities, and more. A Children’s Activity Corner will also be available for the youngsters in attendance.
