In-person meetings will include the following topics: Rain Gardens, Herbal Folklore, Plants at Kayanase Greenhouse, Getting Started in the Garden, Community Gardens, Turtle Stewardship, Honey, I Shrank the Lawn, and our Annual Meeting & Potluck. Other events will be 2 Native Plant Sales, a Coffee Party, and a Community BBQ. To celebrate our 75th Anniversary, we will join Brant County in revitalizing Rising Park in Glen Morris by removing invasives, planting native plants and trees, and planting "soft landings" under native trees. We will finish the Rain Garden at the Glen Morris Central Public School that manages storm water and includes a gathering circle for teaching, and a pathway to encourage exploration and learning about native plants and pollinators. Volunteers will conduct horticultural activities with the Public School Grade 3 class. Members will receive the monthly newsletter, Garden Gleanings. Other volunteers will maintain our 12 community gardens.

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget.
