Highlights

Our year included a front yard recognition program, Pollinator Month at the Aurora Farmer’s Marker, care of gardens at CHATS and the Alzheimer Society and a plant sale. This year included a compost workshop held in conjunction with the Compost Council of Canada. Our speaker program was particularly strong. This included Shaun Booth, a Bee Keeper, Dorte Windmuller, an indigenous speaker, learned about Neighborhood Stewardship, fungi and houseplant care. We held 5 flower shows, and had a pumpkin decorating activity.

Society/Club Volunteer HoursThe volunteer hours we spend illustrates how valuable we are in our communities and across Ontario. As an analytical tool, volunteer hours can also be used to determine where time is being spent within a Society/Club, District, or organization which helps us make important decisions on programs, fundraising, and budget. For instance, horticultural Society/Club members volunteered 445,387 hours in 2024!
