Swansea Horticultural Society

District 15

About Us

Founded in 1937, today the Swansea Horticultural Society is a small neighbourhood group. As part of our regular meetings we hold three Flower Shows annually. In June of each year we host a Bus Trip - heading out to see both private and public gardens of interest. Also in June, we often host members-only tours of our own gardens. Each July we look forward to a potluck picnic held in the garden of one of our members. To cap off the year, we hold a potluck Christmas dinner at the Swansea Town Hall, usually complete with entertainment. We warmly welcome all guests and visitors and invite you to come out and join us!

Join Us!

Join our friendly, informal neighbourhood gardening society. Listen to great speakers, learn, share ideas, or just chat. Our members cultivate a variety of spaces. To us, gardening isn't restricted to the backyard: it thrives on our decks, our balconies, and terraces. We meet at the Swansea Town Hall, 95 Lavinia Avenue, two blocks south of Bloor, in between Runnymede Road and Windermere Avenue. Newcomers, and potential members are most welcome to attend, and refreshments are served after the presentations.
