Whether you are a novice green thumb or an experienced horticulturist - we look forward to welcoming you to our next meeting! Founded in 1919 the Burlington Horticultural Society has been an active partner in various horticultural endeavours in our community. Our Mission Statement reflects this: "To promote and support sustainable gardening and environmental stewardship for the beautification of the landscape and the enjoyment of all citizens."
Our volunteer activities in the Burlington Community:
-maintaining a shade garden in Maple Park
-hosting an annual Plant sale in the spring
-organizing a variety of workshops related to plants and floral arrangements
-arranging a Garden Tour of local properties
- having outreach events to promote native plants, pollinator gardens and sustainable gardening practices

Our monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month from September to June. Come and join us for a social time from 6:30 pm with the meeting beginning at 7:00 until 9:00 pm. Please see our website for details about our speakers and the topics of their talks as well as other details about our meetings. In May, June and Sept. we have flower shows, March is a photography show, while December is our AGM with a potluck social.
