Bio

David St Amand is the President and Newsletter Editor of the Oro-Medonte Horticultural Society, where he
has been an active member for five years and contributes to community garden projects. David was recently
appointed the Editor of the OHA’s Trillium Newsletter.
He and his husband Brett, live in Moonstone (Oro-Medonte) with their two dogs.
A graduate of the University of Guelph’s Landscape Diploma program, David has been redesigning his
gardens, applying the knowledge and education gained from seminars and the guidance of fellow
horticultural enthusiasts.
When traveling, David likes to visit and photograph gardens to observe different plants and species from that
country, exploring unique horticultural traditions, learning about local gardening techniques, and drawing
inspiration from the diverse landscapes and botanical collections he encounters.
Outside of horticulture, David enjoys quilting, crafts, and photography, and he loves to sail on Georgian Bay in
the summer.
