Seaway Valley District Horticultural Society

We are pleased to formally introduce ourselves to you as a newly established Horticultural Society located along the St. Lawrence Seaway primarily encompassing the communities of Prescott, Johnstown, Cardinal, Spencerville, Iroquois and Morrisburg.
The Seaway Valley District Horticultural Society is a non-profit organization, and our primary purpose is to provide education to communities about sustainable horticultural practices, to establish new horticultural projects and help to revive, enhance, and sustain existing projects by recruiting volunteers to support them. Our Society is focused on community collaboration and building working relationships and partnerships with like minded individuals, other Horticultural Societies, Community Clubs and other Non- Profit Organizations, Churches, Local Businesses, Schools, and Municipalities for the purpose of increasing the capacity for Horticultural projects in our communities.
The Seaway Valley District Horticultural Society is an inclusive organization open to all gardening enthusiasts and their families. We are actively pursuing opportunities to engage with seniors as well as children and youth in our communities to ensure that our generational accumulated knowledge and experience will be passed down to future generations of Horticulturalists. The Seaway Horticultural Society has a special interest in the development of Community Vegetable Garden Projects as well.

Meetings are always held on the 3rd Saturday of the Month between January to June and from September to November. The meetings rotate between venues in Prescott, Cardinal, Iroquois and Morrisburg and are always held at 11:00 am.
Our memberships include all meetings, events, tours, and any special events. Our memberships are $20 for a single, $30 for a couple and a $1 for a child (ages 6-18 years).
