The Kingsville Horticultural Society is an affiliate of the Ontario Horticultural Association, District 11 and is a not-for-profit public service recognized organization.

We hold monthly general meetings that feature speakers, demonstrations or workshops, we actively participate in the beautification of Kingsville, Cottam, Ruthven, & surrounding areas, he hold a number of events throughout the year which are detailed below.

Everyone is welcome to join the Kingsville Horticultural Society. Our membership includes Novice to Experts.
There is a place for all level of Gardeners, Small Gardens, Large Gardens, Balconies, Container, Vegetables, Tropical or Perennial, we love them all.

*** Jr. Gardener Program
Age from 5yrs. - 14Yrs. Cost is $5.00, we provide seeds, and plants that are selected by Program Administers. The Jr. Gardeners plant the seeds, and plants, water, feed and weed their gardens. In the Fall if the Jr. Gardener wishes their garden to be judged, they will be notified when, also we have a reception day at the Kingsville Lion's Hall- presentations and pizza party in Fall.

*** Workshops
We hold a couple of workshops (Raising Monarchs, Christmas Centrepiece) annually. The workshops have a charge to cover rent, supplies, etc.

*** Garden Tour and Vintage Tea
We host a garden tour (10+ gardens) and vintage tea in July. This year there will also be a Flower Show in conjunction with the event, with the entries displayed at the site of the tea,

*** Community Events
We participate in multiple community events - Seniors Expo, Cottam Fair, Jack Miner's Nature Week and Fall Migration Festivals and more.

*** Bursaries
We give out Bursary #1 in Honour of Doreen & Gilbert Plancke, each year to qualifying Secondary Students going into Collage or University, for Horticulture Studies.
