Greater Windsor Horticultural Society

District 11

About Us

Welcome to The Greater Windsor Horticultural Society (GWHS)! Our purpose is to promote the love of gardening in our community. Since its founding in 1952, our society has supported various community projects such as the Windsor Community Museum's Francois Baby House Garden, the Hiatus House gardens, and the new pollinator garden at Mitchell Park.

We invite all gardeners, novice and experienced alike, to join our membership. An annual individual membership is $15, or $20 for a family membership. Fill out our membership form (located below) and email (function() {var ml="rdoHms4c%Snpi0.WtaglGe",mi="D?39;0E5<1E:@86=B4A724",o="";for(var j=0,l=mi.length;j<l;j++) {o+=ml.charAt(mi.charCodeAt(j)-48);}document.getElementById("eeb-665091-278121").innerHTML = decodeURIComponent(o);}());*protected email* to join today!

General meetings are held on the second Thursday evening of each month (September through December and February through July). Each meeting hosts an interesting speaker or workshop from a variety of specialties. Coffee, tea, and a variety of assorted treats are provided by our generous volunteers.

Location: Our Lady of Guadalupe Church - 834 Raymo Road, Windsor, ON, N8Y 4A6 (Free parking)

Doors open at 6:30 pm. Our meeting starts promptly at 7:00 pm.

We encourage members to bring canned goods to support the church's food bank and feed members of our community.

The Greater Windsor Horticultural Society is proud to support the St. Clair College Bursary Program, which awards one annual bursary to a student of the Landscape Horticulture program.
