Bancroft Horticultural Society (BHS)
District 3
The BHS became part of OHA in 1999 previously known as the Bancroft Garden Club. The society grew to become very active with fall fairs, flower shows, designing and maintaining community gardens etc. as they encouraged an ongoing love and learning for all things to do with horticulture.
Previous to the 2020 and 2021 pandemic years, The Bancroft Horticultural Society usually had an informative guest speaker or workshop taking place monthly, as well as, member plant and photo competitions. Our president would go over any business news, after we had a break for snacks and an opportunity to catch up with our fellow gardeners.
After returning to 'in-person' general meetings in March of 2022, we now look forward to a full year of general meetings in 2023 with a newly formed executive.
We do have a Bancroft Horticultural Society Facebook group and encourage everyone to visit and share gardening related information and photos to this group.
