Galt Horticulture Society

District 19

About Us

Galt Horticultural Society (GHS) came into being in the 1850's. The current version was established in 1891 with 186 members. We proudly serve the Cambridge Area.

The fine roster of speakers at the monthly meetings is just one of the reasons for our large membership. The Society also provides other activities of interest to the growing number of gardeners in the City including: workshops at Ferguson Cottage for adults and kids; Open Garden Tours in the summer months; Bus Trips to varied interesting locations for gardeners; our annual Dream Garden Conference attracts over 200 attendees in January; Annual Corn Roast at Ferguson Cottage; Newsletter, Web Site and Facebook page to keep you up to date and involved.
Our Society maintains the gardens, (aprox. .5 acres) at Ferguson Cottage in downtown Galt (Cambridge). Our members are invited to our gardens to share with and learn from your fellow gardeners.

Please visit our web site http://WWW.GALTHORT.COM for current information.

Joining the Galt Horticulture Society opens up the world of Gardening. We have monthly events with speakers, workshops, auctions, dream garden, plant sales and exchanges, photo contest, youth activities, newsletters. On our 1 acre property we have weekly educational hands-on gardening participation with members. Managed a number of Open garden tours over the summer.
