Chinguacousy Garden Club & Horticultural Society

District 15

About Us

Our motto is “Let us educate to cultivate”
Our club emblem is Columbine (Aquilegia Canadensis) - a spring blooming native wildflower featuring small orange-red flowers with a yellow centre, over a compact mound of ferny light-green foliage.

Chinguacousy Garden Club & Horticultural Society (founded Sept. 16, 1974) is a friendly informal club and you are welcome to visit a meeting before deciding if you would like to join.

We have speakers or demonstrations on various topics in addition to a monthly raffle table, plant sale table, refreshment & social time. Our annual events include a Flower Show in September, plus Plant
Sale in May which is open to the public. We also have outings to places of horticultural interest and public service projects within the community. We continue to provide online access to the majority of our meetings, enabling members who are unable to join us in-person, to still be involved.

Members of the club receive an informative newsletter. Our membership year is September to August.

Whether you are an experienced gardener, or just starting to plan your first garden, you will find a warm welcome at the Chinguacousy Garden Club.
