French River Horticultural Society

District 13

About Us

Welcome: The French River Garden Club joined the Ontario Horticultural Association in 2006 and became the French River Horticultural Society. We are the youngest and the most eastern society in District 13. Our flower emblem, “trout lily,” blankets forest floors in early May.

Monthly meetings provide opportunities to learn from knowledgeable speakers and to share with each other. Throughout the year, members volunteer to plant and maintain public gardens and to support other local organizations. Monies from fundraising events go towards community beautification and environmental projects. Local gardens are featured in our biennial garden tours. Our newsletter is published quarterly.
