North Bay Horticultural Society
District 18
The North Bay Horticultural Society inspires a love of gardening, encourages environmental stewardship, and supports the beautification of our city. Our friendly members—new and experienced gardeners alike—enjoy learning, sharing, and growing together through hands‑on education and community involvement.
Join us at our meetings, where engaging guest speakers explore a variety of gardening and environmental topics. Members also enjoy Q&A sessions with local Master Gardeners and time to socialise.
We host a popular annual plant sale and participate in group gardening activities throughout the season. Our society proudly supports community beautification and environmental education through projects such as the garden design and installation at Canadore College, Nipissing University, and the YMCA, along with ongoing care of the waterfront Lilac bed and the YMCA entrance. Seven meetings are held throughout the year: March to June and September to November.
